Working towards developing a perspective that is more balanced and better informed than the one generally available from public debate and the media, we will discuss Zionism as an imperialist and colonialist movement, as well as the uniquely unusual nature of both Zionism as the Jewish national movement, and of the Palestinian national movement. The tutor was a peace activist while living in Israel, and has taught Arab-Israeli Relations at Keele University.
