Drawing and Painting the Multicultural Way – Summer 2018

aboriginal artIn this course we will explore the arts and crafts of a chosen area of the world through looking at books, images on the internet (through slide shows) and genuine artefacts where possible. This information will be used to inspire artwork of your own. Where use of a particular medium is an important feature of an area’s artistic identity we will have a go at that if it is possible, but otherwise a wide range of media may be used e.g. many forms of textiles, lino printing, 3-d media as well as drawing and painting. The emphasis is on exploring ideas and your potential, but for those that prefer more structure and technical help, this will be provided.
