How travel shaped the world, part 2 – Spring 2017

GlobesThe course examines the way in which knowledge of the shape of the earth has developed since earliest recorded times. Following a short summary of topics covered in Part 1, we continue to look at ways in which ideas of the world were shaped through migration, trade and religion. Developments in transport technology, including space travel, have gradually pushed the boundaries of global knowledge and of human interaction.
